Your glutes are commonly involved in low back pain. These stretches will help to loosen the glute muscles as well as a tiny little muscle called your piriformis.
The piriformis is a tiny pear-shaped muscle that the sciatic nerve must pass to get from the glute into the leg. Tightness in this muscle can create ‘sciatica’ symptoms which include pain down the back of the leg, tingling, numbness and other problems.
